6.4.1
Removing clogs
WARNING
Risks of personal injury from crushing, shearing, cutting, amputation, entrapment, winding
up, entanglement, catching and impact may arise if:
Raised, unsecured parts of the machine lower or are lowered inadvertently, e. g. an
open dosing gate.
Work tools or parts of the machine are actuated or hydraulic functions are performed by
accident.
Secure the raised parts of the machine against inadvertent lowering before working in
the vicinity of raised parts.
Secure the machine against inadvertent start-up before removing any clogging (secure
the main switch with a padlock).
Wait until the machine has come to a complete stop before entering the danger area.
1. End the mixing process (see chapter Starting
and ending the mixing process, page 63).
2. Use the push button “1, 2 or 3” at the control
switch cabinet (see chapter “Operating elements
and controls”, page 52) to open the dosing
gate (3). Automatic opening will stop at the open-
ing width at which the sensor (1) has been in-
stalled.
3. Switch the machine off and secure it against
inadvertent start-up.
4. Close the block ball valve (1) on the dosing
gate (3) of the clogged door

Position vertical
= open
o
Position horizontal
= closed
5. Remove the clog to clear the door and allow the
mixing auger to rotate freely again.
6. Open the block ball valve (1).
7. Switch the machine back on (see chapter
Switching the machine on, page 62).
8. Use the push button “1, 2 or 3” at the control
switch cabinet (see chapter “Operating elements
and controls”, page 52) to close the dosing
gate (3). Automatic opening will stop at the open-
ing width at which the sensor (1) has been in-
stalled.
9. Resume discharging the fodder.
