Perform all the procedures described in this section in the indicated order to setup the
system and make it operational.

Note:
If you need to connect expansion units to the system base unit, proceed as follows:
1. Set up the system base unit, start it for the first time and make sure that no errors
are detected during the initial start up, following the procedures described in this
section.
2. When you are sure that the system base unit operates correctly, perform the
installation and connection of the expansion units:

DANGER
When adding or removing any additional devices to or from the system,
ensure that the power cables for those devices are unplugged before the
signal cables are connected. If possible, disconnect all power cables from
the existing system before you add a device.
Use one hand, when possible, to connect or disconnect signal cables to
prevent a possible shock from touching two surfaces with different electrical
potentials.
During an electrical storm, do not connect cables for display stations,
printers, telephones, or station protectors for communication lines.
