17. If individual values are far off the red 1:1 line, the following options are available:
a) In order to check if it is a problem in the numerical calculation process, repeat the
calibration process by clicking
(reset calibration data). Then recalculate the sample
values (
) and start the calibration process again (
).
b) After careful evaluation the point can be excluded from the calibration with a right click on
the highlighted value.
c) If most values for a certain standard deviate significantly, check for inconsistencies in the
respective standard’s spectrum. The spectrum can be accessed by right-clicking on the
sample name.
d) If there is no other solution, delete the respective standard by highlighting it in the table
with the left mouse button and clicking
.
18. Save the method by clicking
and exit the
METHOD EDITOR
.
Note
If you edit an already existing calibrated method and make some changes in
the basic structure or in the normation, you need to renew the calibration as
well. In this case click
and
first, and then perform a new calibration.
