characteristic fluorescence lines of
elements check the expected
element in the periodic table or set
the cursor on one peak and use the
Finder
option.

5.5.6.1 Spectrum Display Manipulation
The spectrum display can be manipulated with both, mouse and keyboard.
Click on the unit of the x-axis to toggle between energy and channels.
Shift the entire spectrum on the energy scale by holding the left mouse button down and
moving the x-axis to the right or to the left
Change the intensity scale by holding the left mouse button down and moving the y-axis
down or upwards. Alternatively, use the cursor keys
and
or PgUp and PgDown
Spread the spectrum by holding the <Ctrl> key and the left mouse button down while moving
the mouse on the spectrum display
Move the spectrum cursor by clicking and dragging it on the spectrum display or using the
cursor keys
and
Zoom in or out the energy scale by moving the mouse wheel around the cursor position
5.5.6.2 Peak
Identification
If an existing method is used for the measurement, all elements are pre-defined and peak
identification is not required. However, in certain cases it can be necessary to identify unknown
peaks or to perform a spectrum deconvolution. This can be done using the periodic table of
elements which is opened by clicking the
button.
The available functions for the peak identification are described in Table 15.
