in the area of cable attachment on the rudder control pedals

Check for the following defects on the cable:
burst cable wires
evidence of sleeves deformation and damage on cable surface
evidence of cable corrosion
cable distortion

Check cable tension by cable tensioner
NOTICE
Set cable stress according to the need by adjustable turnbuckles on
the side of the rudder pedals.
Prescribed cable stress:
maximum: 70 lbs (32 kg)
minimum: 50 lbs (23 kg)
cable stress in the operation is: 33 lbs. (15 kg).

Exchange the cable in cases as follows:
broken any wire
wear of cable surface resulted in permanent deformation of cable
section.
it is not possible to tension the cable to the prescribed value (see
above).
it is not possible to set the rudder to neutral position (see Chapter
20-50-01
Adjusting Rudder Deflections
)

Check rudder deflections (See Table 3).
