Wait until the screen on the charger indicates charging is complete. A full
charge is 16.8V.
After charging, disconnect the cables. First disconnect the charge cables
from the ROV ports and replace the battery port cover. Then disconnect the
cables from the charger.
Prepare batteries for storage
If you will not use your ROV for several months, its battery should be
charged/discharged to 15.4V before storing in a cool, dry, stable place.
Procedure for preparing ROV batteries for storage
Follow steps 1-8 from
Section 15.2: Battery charging procedure
, except you
don’t need to connect the cell balancing cable to the ROV.
On the battery charger, set the Cell Voltage to 3.85V (so that the total
voltage for 4 cells is 15.4V) and set the
Task
to
Storage
.
i.
From the Main Menu, select
Task, then select ‘Storage’.
ii.
Select ‘Cells Voltage’ from Main
Menu. Select 3.85V from the
available voltages.
iii.
Check Cells Voltage and Task
are correct, then select ‘Start’.
iv.
Click ‘Yes’ (the cell balancing
cable is not necessary here).
Wait until the task is complete and you can see each cell is at 3.85V.
