Handle attached to the side of the tether reel using the thumbscrew 

 

Connect fibre patch cable to tether reel 

Locate the fibre connection port

on the other side of the tether reel. It will be 

covered by a red plastic protective cap. Working quickly, remove the caps from 
the port and fibre patch cable. Attach and screw in the fibre patch cable to the 
port. Store the caps safely.

Connect fibre patch cable to Control Station 

 

Bring the other end of the fibre patch cable close to the fibre 
communication port

Remove the red cap from the port and remove the clear cap from the cable, 
again minimizing the time each exposed fibre point is exposed to the air. 
Plug in and screw in the cable to the Control Station. 

 

Store the caps safely.
