4.1

Features and Functions

The NT200 power supply module performs the following functions:

Provision of internal operating voltages:

5 V for the central processing unit

3.4 V memory backup battery voltage

7.5 V for peripheral modules

12 V ISO for 20 mA interface

Undervoltage monitoring of 24 V power supply

Bridging power intermittents in 24 V power supply

Monitoring internal power supply

In the event of a failure of the 24 V power supply, the buffered controller
memory is powered by a backup battery.

Monitoring the backup battery

The power supply module in the basic unit does not provide 24 V power
for peripheral modules, signal encoders and actuators. These require
a separate 24 V power supply. Refer to information in section 17.1.
