Fitting instructions
Instructions for use for the patient:
The brace should be worn directly over the clothes. Pay attention to avoid creasing the clothes in the
vicinity of the brace as this can result in pressure sores.

The BORT DynamicFX back brace which is individually compiled for you and adapted by the
orthopaedic technician is pulled over the shoulders like a rucksack. Here, the basic support is open.
Please observe that the shoulder straps are not twisted.

Close the basic support using the highest tension possible. In order to enable closing the basic
support with as little application of force as possible, please use the hand straps attached to the
basic support’s latch plates. When closing, observe that the basic support is attached above the groin and
does not cause unpleasant pressure when sitting. Both closure components from the basic support must
be attached to each other parallel using Velcro.

Then, pull both side restraints forwards evenly and attach the restraints to the basic support using
Velcro.

Finally, attach the chest strap to your BORT DynamicFX back brace.
Special notes for the patient:
Please have the fit and function of your BORT DynamicFX Back brace checked regularly by your
orthopaedic technician. In particular when starting therapy with the BORT DynamicFX back brace, it is
particularly important to check the length of the shoulder straps and the base plate and to re-adjust them
as necessary. It is particularly important that you practice putting the frame support brace on and removing
it with your physician/physiotherapist/orthopaedic technician in order to gain security in handling your aid.
Wearing time:
The wearing time for your brace should be determined within a treatment plan by your treating physician,
depending on the current indication and your personal situation. Please observe that the therapy with the
BORT DynamicFX back brace is a long-term therapeutic measure. Sustainable therapeutic success will
only come after a while.

Determination of the waist circumference:
measure the waist circumference and select the appropriate size from the basic support sizes available.
