BOGE Operating instructions for C 16 N...C 30 N, C 16 F N...C 30 F N series screw compressors

Checking installation
requirements

Checking the rotational
direction

Changing the rotational direction

WARNING!

Make sure that the compressor is installed according to the installation
requirements!
Prior to starting the compressor for the first time, check if the transport secur-
ing device was duly removed and the GM belt tensioning device activated
(see chapter „3.3 Installation“)!
Record the test results in the commissioning certificate.

WARNING!

Always check the rotational direction of the drive motor prior to commission-
ing/initial start up.
Even brief operation in the wrong direction of rotation (more than approx.
5 seconds) may cause significant damage to the air end!
Record the test results in the commissioning certificate.

WARNING!

Ensure that the rotational direction coincides with the rotational direction
arrow on the air end.

Close mains disconnecting device.

Switch the compressor on and immediately off again to check the rota-
tional direction.

WARNING: Risk of injury!

Actuate emergency-stop switch/button, open mains disconnecting device
and secure by means of lock out tag out.

Interchange two phases (L1, L2 or L3) in the power cable.
