Screw connections tight-
ened with the incorrect
torque can come loose or
damage the screw connection
itself.
Be sure to have the tightening
torques checked, preferably
by an authorized BMW motor-
cycle retailer.

• If the BMW Motorrad rear
wheel stand is used: remove
the retaining disk.
• Roll the rear wheel onto the
rear wheel support.
• Place the rear wheel on the
rear wheel support.
• If the BMW Motorrad rear
wheel stand is used: attach
the retaining disk again.
• Fit the wheel bolts

and
tighten crosswise with the
appropriate tightening
torque.
• Turn the end muffler into its
initial position.
• Fit the bolt

of the
bracket of
the end muffler to the rear
footrest, but do not tighten.
