FEED PUMP
It does not need any maintenance, only flushing if not magnetic drive. If the pump should
have problems it should be replaced with a new one. This pump can also be replaced by
any pumps with the same characteristics.

Sie braucht keine Wartung, nur Spülen wenn nicht magnetisch angetrieben oder mit einem
Nitril-Laufrad.
. Sollte die Pumpe Probleme haben, muss sie durch eine neue ersetzt werden. Diese Pumpe
kann auch durch jede Pumpen mit den gleichen Merkmalen ersetzt werden.
POMPA DI ALIMENTAZIONE
Non necessita di manutenzione, solo di lavaggio se non è magnetica o di tipo a girante in
gomma. Se la pompa dovesse avere problemi, deve essere sostituita con una nuova. Questa
pompa può anche essere sostituita da qualsiasi pompa con le stesse caratteristiche.

MEMBRANES
The membrane has to be removed from the pressure pipe ONLY at malfunction. The durability
of the membranes is directly depending on the operating conditions. The system may only
run in clean water. Operating in water that is contaminated with oil or chemicals as well as
operating in a harbor has to be avoided. Furthermore, the entry of chlorinated water, e.g.
during fresh water flushing, results in a collapse of the membranes. This can be prevented by
a charcoal filter operated according to its specification.
If there is the risk of frost, the entire pressure pipe with internal membrane in the pipe should
be dismounted (after necessary preservation) and be stored frost-proof. Alternatively, 20%
glycerin in food quality can be added to the biocide at preservation. Water inside the filters,
feed pump and in the high-pressure pump has to be drained.
Note: If the membrane with pressure pipe shall be stored for a longer period, the biocide has
to be renewed approximately every 6 months. For this, let the old biocides drain off and fill
the new one directly into the pressure pipe.
ORDINARY MEMBRANES MAINTENANCE: At each stop of the watermaker run a flushing of the
membranes for about 2/4 minutes. The freshwater used for membranes washing should be
clorine-free. After freshwater flushing your desalination system may remain unused for a few
weeks.
If you plan longer periods of watermaker shut down, the long-term conservation of the mem-
branes has to be performed with Biocide. Please follow instructions attached for use of spe-
cial chemical products for treatment and cleaning of the membranes.
When you notice stable decline of the productivity of your watermaker for more than 15%
you need to perform the cleaning procedure of the membranes using special chemical
products.
