Follow the above drawing to install the components of the watermaker.
A dedicated inlet on the hull is necessary. If you share the seawater inlet of the watermaker
with the inlet of the cooling water of the engine, please check that the pumps are well flood-
ed without air bubbles.
Drill the hole for the intake in the lowest possible position in your hull: this way you will avoid
the suction of dirty elements, as well of trace of oil and hydrocarbons floating on the surface.
The discharge (6) must be installed above the water line.

The feed pump should be magnetic driven and placed below the seawater level. This kind of
pump does not need to be flushed when the plant is stopped but is not self priming, so must
be placed below the waterline. If you need to use a different type of pump, which needs to
be flushed, please ask for the dedicated drawing.
► Keep the pipe lines from the feed pump to the high pressure pump inlet as short as possible.

The outlet (bypass) of the safety valve must be driven outboard, using a TEE fitting in the dis-
card pipe line. It can be optionally driven to the inlet of the HP Pump.
