3.3.2 Hoist components
3.3.2.1 Motor pack
The Motor Pack is the brawn of the system. It is made up of the shroud structure,
transmission and drum, electric motor and brake, and the wire rope cable. The motor pack
also contains the two safety limit switches of the unit, one for the up direction and one for the
down direction.
3.3.2.2 Electrical equipment
The electrical control system is the brains of the system. It is made up of the
Control/Electrical Box and the Handheld Control Pendant. The safety limit switches although
located on the Motor Pack are part of the electrical control system as well.
