Screw Connections
The cable glands may only be used for connection of permanently laid lines. NEC
and CEC installations must provide sealing at enclosure!
IMPORTANT
If screw connections or cables that were not tested by Berthold Technologies
GmbH & Co. KG are used, the torques for fixing may need to be redefined.
The specified torques in the table are guidelines for the threaded joints listed in
the table, but essentially depend on the cable used. The pressure screw and the
fitting body must be tightened so that the IP or Type 4X protection is securely guar-
anteed.
Note the torques, cross sections and protective types of threaded joints in the fol-
lowing table.
Detector LB 6775-..-..-..-..-….0 (M16 x 1.5 cable entry) and LB 6775-..-..-..-..-….1
(M20 x 1.5 cable entry) can only be used in HazLoc zones only.
Detector LB 6775-..-..-..-..-….2 (1/2” NPT) can be used in HazLoc Zonen and HazLoc
divisions.
2.9 ATEX / IECEx Cable Glands
The threaded joints used can be recognised by the imprint of the ex-identification,
colour and thread size of the threaded joints. The corresponding torques are taken
from the following tables.
