check if the pulse oximeter probe is placed properly on the infant and if the
pulse oximeter probe is connected properly to the main unit. If the problem
persists then contact the Customer Support for further guidance.
When the device is powered through battery:
1. On pressing the power button, if the screen is not turned on, then
charge the main unit by plugging into main supply.
2. If screen turns on but shows LB near the battery symbol, then charge the
main unit by plugging into main supply.
3. If activation sequence is not indicated then refer to point 5 of the previous
section 4.1.1.
4.2 Safety
It is important to understand and follow certain safety measures before using
the ApneBoot. The precautions mentioned below are to prevent possible risk
of injury to the infant or the operator and ensure correct usage of the device.
1. Please keep this operation manual till the end of the ApneBoot usage.
2. The Pulse Oximeter Probe & Stimulator Boot are critical accessories. Clean
them every day as per the cleaning instructions given in the section 5.1 in
this manual and do not tamper them.
3. Keep the main unit and all it’s accessories away from water.
4. Refer to the cleaning instructions in section 5.1 of this manual to wipe the
main unit, pulse oximeter probe, stimulator boot or any other accessory pro -
vided. Do not let the cleaning solutions seep inside the device.
5. User must use only the accessories including probes and cords provided
by BEMPU. No other devices/accessories should be used with ApneBoot.
6. The use of the device not in accordance to the recommendations men -
tioned in this manual is not advised by the manufacturer.
7. Always use authorized technical assistance for any technical or usability
issue.
