i. If SpO2<85% AND PR<100 bpm for 5 seconds
ii. If SpO2<75% for 5 seconds
iii. If PR<90 bpm for 5 seconds,
or below the custom thresholds set by the user, which might be indicative of
apnea, the device will start sounding an audio alarm and give a visual indica
-
tion by blinking the alarm LED in RED color.
b) Simultaneously, the stimulator boot will provide a vibro-tactile stimulus to
the foot sole of the infant where the stimulator is placed.
c) The device will also display the duration of ongoing apnea.
Snooze:
a) During an alarm state, the user can snooze the audio alarm by pressing the
snooze button. The visual alarm shown by the RED LED will continue to blink.
b) User should note that the device will stay in snoozed state for 60 seconds
after which it automatically resumes the normal operation.
c) The device will continue measuring infant’s SPO
2
and PR even in snoozed
state.
History:
a) User can view the history of the previously occurred bradycardia and
oxygen desaturation events (within the last 12 hours) by pressing the history
button.
Low Battery States:
a) Low battery indication is shown when the battery is about to be dis
-
charged completely, but the device is still functional. Screen shows ‘LB’ near
the battery icon. User must charge the device when this indication is dis
-
played.
b) ‘Low battery’ (critical) is shown along with an alarm, when battery is dis
-
charged completely and device shuts off.
