Cleaning the Feeder Sensor 

The feeder sensor detects paper in the feeder. Dust and small particles of paper may build 
up on the sensor, causing the feeder table not to drop after the last page is fed. Cleaning 
the feeder sensor once per week (or as needed) will reduce this problem. 

Take the following steps to clean the feeder sensor. 

1.  Remove all paper from the feeder. 

2.  Using the sensor and transport cleaner (Maintenance Kit Item #4), spray a short burst 

of air onto the sensor.
