ADJUSTMENTS ( continued )
4.2.7
VOLTAGE METER ADJUST (R61 on each Phase Control PWA)
1)
Set the meter select switch back to phase A and note the phase A output on the DVM.
2)
Adjust R61 on the phase A control PWA so that the front panel voltage meter indicates same as the
DVM.
3)
Repeat adjustment for phase B and phase C.
4.2.8
CURRENT METER ADJUST (I-METER R58 on each Phase Control PWA)
1)
Connect a full load the phase A output and neutral terminal.
2)
Set the meter switch to phase A. Connect the clamp on ammeter to the phase a load.
3)
With the output on, adjust the VOLTS control to provide a current that is close to full scale (14
amps).
Adjust R58 on the phase A control board so that the front panel ammeter matches the external
ammeter reading.
4)
Connect a load to the phase B output terminal and neutral. Again, adjust the VOLTS to provide
about 14 Amps as indicated on the external ammeter. Set the meter select switch to phase B.
5)
Adjust R58 on the B phase control board so that the front panel ammeter matches the external
ammeter.
6)
Repeat the above step with the load on phase C. Again adjust R58 on the phase C board so that the
front panel ammeter matches the measured load current on phase C.
7)
Adjust the VOLTS control fully CCW and set the OUTPUT switch to Off.
4.2.9
20 KHz TRIANGLE WAVE TRIM (DIST. TRIM R34 on Mother Board)
1)
Turn VOLTS control fully ccw.
2)
Connect oscilloscope across rear panel output terminals.
3)
Set oscilloscope gain to 500 mV/div.
4)
Adjust DIST. TRM potentiometer R34 for smallest waveform peak-to-peak value.
4.2.10 LINE DROP COMPENSATION TRIM
1)
Connect selected load to rear panel OUTPUT terminals.
2)
Connect DVM at load input so as to compensate for IR losses in the connecting lines.
3)
Set circuit breaker to ON.
4)
Set OUTPUT switch to OFF.
5)
Adjust VOLTS control to desired setting on DVM. Note voltage setting. (Should be the same as the
panel meter indication.)
6)
Set OUTPUT switch to ON.
7)
Adjust front panel I.R. COMP potentiometer to no-load voltage setting noted in step 5.
