To connect to a remote device or host system, simply type its name, e.g.
NEW_YORK<RETURN>
If the unit to be connected is not in the list (for example, if the remote
device is not a Nautica Series Bridge or compatible device), it can be
connected by typing its IP address and TCP port on the command line, e.g.
1.2.3.4 23<RETURN>
When familiar with the names of the Marlin Bridges in the network, these
can be connected using commands anywhere in the menu tree (not only
from the Remote Units screen) by typing "REM" before the name or IP
address, e.g.
REM NEW_YORK<RETURN>
or
REM 1.2.3.4 23<RETURN>
The local unit can also be managed from any remote network connected
device with TCP/IP Telnet protocol, including Terminal Servers, PCs with
suitable emulation software, or another Marlin Bridge or compatible unit.
When a connection to the local unit's management system is made, then
management from a remote network attached terminal, PC emulating a
terminal or remote unit is the same as using a local management terminal.

If logged on to the local Marlin Bridge's manager, disconnect by typing:
QUIT <RETURN>
If logged into a remote Marlin Bridge using the remote connection facility,
QUIT disconnects from the remote Marlin Bridge and returns to the local
Marlin Bridge manager, to connect to another unit or manage the local unit.
Note: it is also possible to disconnect from the remote unit with
<CTRL>+D. This makes TCP/IP Telnet (and not the Marlin Bridge) abort
the connection, so it should be used only when QUIT does not work.
