adjusted accordingly and display on the review screen. See Figure 103.

4. To start the infusion, ensure that the slide clamp and roller clamp are open and press
RUN
.
Once
RUN
is pressed, the infusion will start and the Primary Check Flow screen is displayed.
Check the flow and confirm:
All clamps are open.
There are no kinks or collapses in the tubing outside of the Pump.
Drops are flowing in the drip chamber. Note, at very low rates, it may take several minutes
to see drops.
Vents are open (if applicable).
If drops are falling in the drip chamber, press the
yes
soft key.
If no drops are falling, press the
no
soft key and follow the screen prompts.
Line Flush
Line Flush feature allows delivery of any residual drug volume remaining in the IV container of a
primary Amount/Time infusion.

The Line Flush feature is enabled in the Drug Library.
■
Line Flush infuses at the same rate as the last programmed infusion rate.
■
The Line Flush feature may be repeated up to three times.
■
Line Flush volume can be set to between 1 mL and 100 mL.
■
Line Flush is only available for Amount/Time infusions.
■
Line Flush volume is set in the Drug Library and can be changed at the Pump.
To flush the primary line:
1. At the completion of the primary infusion, press
STOP
.
