TCR Adjustment procedure
All curves should have a smooth appearance. If not the case the following
problems are possible:
· Broken
g
-correction curves at the lower values (left side) : this effect can be
caused by ambient light introducing noise in the dark value measurements, or it
can be a result of grey scale inversion in the center of the image. In the first case
the room should be made darker. In the second case the projector white panel
settings of this particular color could be readjusted (start with an increase of the
black levels), and the whole program should be restarted (incl. the copy of panel
settings from projector white to 6500 in step 2).
· A number of cracks in the transmission curve and all correction curves: if this
phenomenon is correlated to occasional long waiting times during the
transmission curve measurement, then probably the RS232 communication
between PC and color meter is not OK, i.e. because the program is running in
Windows instead of DOS.
The last action in this step is to save the panel settings to defaults.
Send LUTS to projector (y/n)
After entering <return> the program will ask to send the correction curves (LUTs)
to the projector. If the graphs look good, then you can do so by typing y.
If you select All (A) before the red curve is measured, the measurements of
all the colors will be done in one sequence, and the results can be viewed
and sent to the projector afterwards.
Input (y)es starts sending the correction curves (LUTs) to the projector.

Step 3: Measurement of LCD transmission curves
Save panel settings to factory settings? (y/n)
Answer <y> to the question if all the measurements looked OK. At the end of
saving the panel settings to default, the program reurns to the startup, displaying
the start screen.
Input number 4 to proceed to the adjustment of the difference color temperatures.
