Uniformity Correction Adjustments
Type A to activate the Automatic Uniformity Adjustment Procedure.
WARNING : the adjustment will erase the current uniformity correction and start from
a totally uncompensated image. If necessary, the current uniformity correction can be
retrieved from the factory settings (F).
First fill in the number of points that you want to measure and press
ENTER
.
-
16: is quicker but less accurate
-
25: recommended : slower but more accurate.
When indicated, put the color meter in the center of the image. For the BG6300 the
reference white level will be measured, and then a selected grey level. This grey level
is adjusted to a color temperature close to 6500K.
Then put the color meter on the indicated areas on the screen. The correction values
will be changed until the target color temperature is reached. For the BG6300 also the
relative transmission compared to white will be adjusted.
On the screen you will see the measured color coordinates and transmission, the
correction values for red, green and blue, and then a measure for the speed with
which the variations in x (value kx), in y (value ky) and in the transmission (value kt)
are compensated. These values are optimized during the adjustment process.
When all points are measured, the correct interpolation between these measurement
points is calculated and sent to the projector.
The 2 following manual adjustment procedures allow to visually locate the area on the
screen where corrections can be made.
The grid agrees with the screen in FRONT TABLE configuration. The outline of the
grid agrees with the outline of the image on the screen.
The current active uniformity compensation is then read from the projector. The
compensation values for the selected grid point are displayed on the top left corner of
the display.
