3.3.1 PROFIBUS state machine
The BTL7-T500… operating modes behave corresponding
to the PROFIDrive profile.
Fig. 3-1: PROFIBUS state machine
The following four states are defined in the BTL:
1.
Normal Operation
The sensor is operating normally. Setting Bit 13 in
G1_STW allows the position value output in G1_XIST2
to be requested.
2.
Parking
The BTL7-T500… outputs position data but does not
send any alarms or warnings. Existing alarms and
warnings are deleted. This state can be set by setting
bit 14 in G1_STW.
3.
Error
This state is set if there is an error in the measuring
system. An error code is output in G1_XIST1 and bit 15
is set in G1_ZSW. The error must be acknowledged by
setting Bit 15 in G1_STW1.
4.
Error acknowledgment
In this state, errors are acknowledged. Setting Bit 15 in
G1STW1 initiates the acknowledgment; the positive
edge is the deciding factor. If the cause for the error is
eliminated, the error is deleted and the sensor changes
to the state
Normal Operation
. If the cause for the error
still exists, the sensor returns to the Error state after
resetting Bit 15 of G1STW1 _STW. Upon successful
acknowledgment, bit 15 in G1_ZSW1 is deleted along
with the error code in G1_XIST2.
