Secondary Device Functions
5.1
External Signal Blanking
5.1.1 Description
External signal blanking reduces the sensitivity to
interfering signals in the surrounding area. Interference is
filtered out.
This function allows influence from a given installation
situation to be reduced e.g. a switching interval offset
resulting from the ambient conditions. The function can be
activated and deactivated as required. The offset is
recorded and compensated for upon every reactivation.
For this reason, no damping material should be positioned
in front of the active surface when the function is activated.
Since the influence can be highly variable in any given
case, a data storage function is not available.
