6.2.3 Device temperature
The sensor is equipped with internal temperature
monitoring (index 0x0052 (82)). The device temperature
(sub index 0x01 (1)) and the minimum and maximum values
since the last startup (subindex 0x02 (2) and 0x03 (3)),
since production (subindex 0x04 (4) and 0x05 (5)) and
since the last manual reset (subindex 0x06 (6) and 0x07
(7)) are measured. The values in index 0x0052 (82),
subindex 0x02 (2), 0x03 (3), 0x06 (6) and 0x07 (7) can be
reset for all modules simultaneously by means of a
maintenance reset (see Section
page 41) or induvidually for the device temperature (see
Section
A lower threshold (index 0x0053 (83) subindex 0x01 (1))
and an upper threshold (index 0x0053 (83) subindex 0x02
(2)) can be defined for the device temperature module. The
sensor recognizes when a threshold is exceeded and sets
the Boolean variables for undershooting the lower
threshold (index 0x0054 (84) subindex 0x01 (1)) or for
exceeding the upper threshold (index 0x0054 (84)
subindex 0x02 (2)).
Additionally, the sensor can trigger IO-Link events if a
threshold is exceeded. The sending of events (see
Tab. 6-21 on page 40) for monitoring the device
temperature can be switched off (index 0x0053 (83)
subindex 0x03 (3)).
