Standing Platform latch
How to install your Allegro standing platform latch
This new latch is designed to retrofit your Allegro Reformer. This retrofit is
mandatory for use with the Allegro
®
Tower of Power.
™
It is easy to install with a few simple tools.
You will need:
Screwdriver with a Phillips head
Adjustable wrench
Parts included in the kit
1 Latch plate
2 Nylock nuts
2 Pre-load studs
1 3/16 Allen key (Gen 9280)
2 bumpers
1 sheet metal screw (Gen 9064, not shown)
1 packet lubricant (Not shown)
Remove bolts
1. Locate the pre-load studs on the machine (see Figure 1
2.Using the Allen key and adjustable wrench, remove the two bolts and nuts
above the spring hooks as shown. These are the two bolts closest to the right
hand side of the machine. Set aside. You can use these in installing your
latch. Nylock nuts are easier to tighten when they’ve been used once . We
have included spare Nylock nuts for your convenience.
Install Latch on frame
1. Note the two tabs on the latch (see fig. 2a)
2. Slide latch so that the bolt holes are visible through the slots in Latch. (Fig.
#2b)
3. Insert the provided pre-load studs into Latch slots and through bolt holes.
4. Install the Nylock nut on each stud. Tighten completely. (Fig. 2c)
