5.6 CO Sensor Zero & Calibration
(Model 100/105/120/125)
Material Required:
• Cylnder of 100 ppm (P/N 51-1994) or
500 ppm (P/N 24-0492) CO calbraton gas
• Calbraton Kt, P/N 24-7059
To mprove the accuracy of the CO readng, we suggest that f the analyzer
wll be prmarly used for flue gas testng, then calbrate usng 500 ppm
CO. If the analyzer, however, wll be prmarly used for ambent testng,
then calbrate usng 100 ppm CO.
Procedure:
1. Wth the analyzer samplng fresh ar, enter the Calbraton Mode as
descrbed n Secton 5.1. Then repeatedly press the
eNTeR
button
untl “CO” appears n the upper-left sde of the dsplay.
2. Allow the pump to run and sample fresh ar for at least 1 mnute.
3. Use the
and
buttons to set the dsplayed value to 0 ppm.
4. Do one of the followng:
a. End ths procedure and save the new zero value by holdng down
the
eNTeR
button for 2 seconds; after whch, the analyzer enters
ts Run Mode.
b. Contnue wth Step 5 to span the CO sensor on a known concen-
traton of carbon monoxde.
5. Set up the Calbraton Kt wth 100 or 500 ppm CO as descrbed n
the nstructons suppled wth the kt.
