4.13.13 Sensor Error Screen
(Model 100/105/110/120/125)
An O
2
sensor error s dsplayed f the analyzer determnes durng the
warm-up cycle that the oxygen sensor’s output s too low for t to be usable.
However, n the extreme condton when the O
2
sensor has
no output
, a sen-
sor error wll not occur. Instead, the O
2
readng wll be 0.0 as dsplayed n
the O
2
Screen or the CO & O
2
Screen.
Tip:
To avoid O
2
errors from occurring, consider replac-
ing the O
2
sensor when its output level drop below 100 as
displayed during warm-up (refer to Section 4.13.1).
When the CO channel s set up for Auto Zero (refer to Secton 3.5.3), a
CO sensor error wll occur f the detected carbon monoxde level s above
50 ppm durng the warm-up cycle. Note that f the CO channel s set up for
manual calbraton, the analyzer does not auto-zero the CO sensor durng
warm-up, and thus does not generate a CO sensor error when the analyzer
s turned ON n an atmosphere contanng a hgh background level of CO.
Do the followng before replacng a suspected spent or defectve sensor:
1. Turn OFF the analyzer and turn t back ON n an area of fresh ar
(contanng 20.9% O
2
and no CO).
2. Perform the Oxygen Sensor Zero procedure (Secton 5.5) and, f ap-
plcable, the CO Sensor Zero & Calbraton procedure (Secton 5.6).
3. If Steps 1 & 2 do not elmnate the error condton, replace sensor(s)
(refer to Sectons 5.9 or 5.10).
