For those applications where it is useful,
the Tempus III has an input for direct activation
of the relays through the connector JP3, which
will be effective when the two terminals of JP3
are bridged.
If this input is active (bridged) when the
Tempus III is offering a service (it has time
accumulated), the time discount will stop.
The time that existed before the bridge will
maintained after the bridge.

OPERATION IN THE 24- AND 48-HOUR MODE
The
Tempus III
has two, special operating modes that consist of the 24- or 48-hour sale.
Operation in the 24- or 48-hour mode is programmable by the user so that when the credit is
introduced, it is sufficient to activate either of the two modes. The
Tempus III
will concede 24
or 48 hours of operation (according to the credit), with uninterrupted time discounting
regardless of whether or not the outside device is operating or not. There are only two
exceptions:
If the input of JP3 is activated (Outside discount stopped).
If it is within a free clock period (Stopped for free service).
If the 24 or 48 hours are conceded and more credit is introduced, the time conceded under a
normal rate will be discounted after the 24- or 48-hour time.
