To switch from the handset mode to handsfree mode:
1. Press the
Handsfree
key.
The LED indicator lights with a solid red light.
2. Replace the handset.
To use a headset:
1. Connect the headset to the headset jack.
2. Press the
Headset
key.
The LED indicator lights.
3. Press the
Goodbye
key or press the button on the
wireless headset, if equipped, to release a call.
To switch from handsfree to headset:
Press the
Headset
key.
The LED indicator lights.
Using Call Subjects
You have the option of sending a Call Subject when you initiate a call to a contact. Use this
feature to indicate to the contact the reason for the call. The IP Deskphone contact displays a
message, such as “
Weekly report call
” or “
Daily status
” when they receive the call. You can
select a subject from a list you create.
on page 97, or you can create a new
subject.
Note:
The Call Subject feature is not available for all call servers. Contact your system
administrator or service provider to determine if this feature is available to you.
Whenever you initiate a call by using off-hook dialing, the
Subject
context-sensitive soft key
appears as an option to use. You can select a Call Subject from a list or create a new Call
Subject to send.
