Optical cables with 24-fiber MPO-style connectors on each
end shall be built “Key up/Key down” so that the helix half-
twist incurred when the cable is lugged into transceivers
will correctly connect transmitter lanes to receiver lanes:
lanes 0 to 0 and 11 to 11. MPO-style ‘male” alignment
pins are used in the receptacle and a “female” MPO-style
connector shall be used on the cable connector.
