3. The
Syslog - Forwarding Network Confi guration
page opens and announces the current forwarding address, see
Figure 5-30. In this example no forwarding is confi gured as the Monitoring Server address is shown.
4. Enter the IP address of the fi rewall or router. If the forwarding address is already set, then to end this forwarding
feature, select the detected internal IP address of the Monitoring Server.
5. Click
Save
to apply this new setting. Remember to confi gure the router or fi rewall to forward UDP port 10514 to the
Monitoring Server.
Click the
System
tab to return to the System page or click any other tab to continue confi guration.
5 .4 Confi gure SNMP
You may confi gure the Monitor Server to send SNMP traps Northbound to a management server. A MIB is available to
download from the confi guration page.
Procedure
This procedure explains how to confi gure SNMP trap destination settings.
1. Click the
System
tab if it is not already selected, Figure 5-31.
2. Click
Confi gure Trap Destination Server
under Network Confi guration section.
3. The
SNMP Trap Confi guration (Northbound)
page opens, see Figure 5-32.
4. Click the
Download Monitoring Server MIB
link to save a copy of the MIB then compile the MIB into your system
management server. We do not provide specifi c information about compiling MIBs into your system in this document.
5. Enter appropriate values for your system in the form using Table 5.4a for guidance.
6. Click
Save
to apply the changes made on this form.
Click the
System
tab to return to the System page or any other tab to continue confi guration.
