10.3 Maintenance
Changing the xenon lamp:
To keep constant radiation, it is necessary to change the
xenon lamp at intervals of 1,500 hours (see section 6.3).
The recommended change after 1,500 operating hours
is indicated on the program control panel. The age of the
xenon lamp can also be reviewed during the program run
(see software documentation manual).
Cleaning the water filter:
The water pump filter must be cleaned every six months.
In case of heavy debris caused by particles removed
from samples during testing, the filter must be changed
immediately. The filter should be replaced with a new filter
after cleaning it twice.

1. Turn off the instrument at the main power switch, pull
the electrical plug from the outlet and secure it to pre-
vent reconnection.
2. Pull the water hose off the connection nozzle

3. The water pump is affixed to the bottom of the water
tank by suction pads

. Release the water pump from
the bottom of the tank by pulling gently.
4. The protective grille

is fit onto the pump housing.
Pull off the protective grille.
5. Take the filter

out of the protective grille

and
rinse well with luke warm water.
6. Reinsert the filter into the protective grille and fit the
protective grille onto the pump housing.
7. Place the water pump on the bottom of the water tank
and press gently to adhere the suction pads to the
bottom of the water tank.
