depressing the button MEMORY button for about 5 seconds means that operator has already read
the historical status and the memory can be erased. Afterwards the control unit moves to the
mode of regular operation,
if no action is undertaken by an operator in 30 seconds after entering the mode of historical
events retrieving or after an alarm, warning or failure event takes place the control unit
automatically quits the mode of memory readouts.

Buzzer – an internal sound warning device
The EcoAlpa control unit has an embedded sound warning device, commonly called a buzzer. It is meant to
produce a sound signal when intervention of a system operator may prove necessary, for instance in case of
a gas hazard or malfunctioning of any system component.
The buzzer is activated in the following cases:
gas alarms, i.e. exceeding of a warning or alarm concentration threshold reported by any gas
detector connected to the control unit,
system failure, i.e. a defect of any gas detector connected to the control unit or breakdown of
communication with any detector,
receiving information about an external alarm.
The active buzzer produces a modulated sound signal with 0.5 s of sound and 0.5 s of silence.
The buzzer can be muted by depressing the button MEMORY (the sound is muted for a limited period of
time, about 30 minutes). Under muted conditions the buzzer produces no sound although the activating
signal remains active. After the muting time expires and the tripping signal for the buzzer is still active, the
buzzer is horned once again (reactivated). Nevertheless, when a new gas alarm
while the sound signal is muted, the buzzer is immediately switched on. The buzzer is always switched off
when the triggering signal disappears.
2
A new gas alarm is understood as exceeding of a subsequent alarm threshold reported by the same detector or exceeding of any hazard
threshold detected by another detector.
