Programming the Tabber
Notes before Programming
There are two methods of programming jobs on the Tabber:
1.
Manual
–
Where the operator specifies the tab positioning
.
2.
Automatic
–
Where the Tabber is given the tab information and it automatically sets up
the location of the tab or tabs by automatically measuring the piece.
In either case some operator interaction to fine tune the tab location and media feed through the
Tabber may be required. Here is an explanation of some of the functions and screens you will see
when programming a job.
Advanced Soft Key
From Start-up screen, pressing the
Advanced
soft key displays several new soft keys.
They are as follows:
Control Panel Backlight
Intensity of the Control Panel Backlight can be
controlled from the
Advanced
soft key. To
access the
“
Backlight Control
”
screen, press
Advanced
key, then
Backlight
key.
Use the two arrow keys to adjust the intensity
of the backlight. Click the
BACK
key to return
the ATS-8900 to the operating mode. 50% is
the normal setting.
