SECTION 4 – 

Adjustment 

Printer Drive Belt Tension Adjustment 

REQUIREMENT: 

To ensure Drive Belt has proper tension. 

ADJUSTMENT: 

1.

 

Unplug Printer and remove Left-hand Side Cover. (

6 screws

) 

2.

 

Unplug wires to the Switch PC Board. Set Cover aside. 

3.

 

Loosen two screws 

[1]

 that mount Main Drive Motor to Frame. 

4.

 

Move Motor up or down to obtain between 0.085" and 0.065" deflection in the Belt when a 
force of 1 lb. is applied (

as shown

). 

5.

 

Tighten two screws

. 

6.

 

Recheck adjustment. 

7.

 

Connect wires to the Switch PC Board. Replace Side Cover.
