Explanation of the symbols
Warnings
In these operating instructions, warning instructions are
marked with signal word and colors. The signal words and
colors are used to indicate the following hazards and poten-
tial consequences.
Danger
Imminent danger
Indicates an imminently hazardous situation with a
high
level of
risk that, if not avoided,
will
result in death or se-
vere injury.
Warning
Hazardous situation
Indicates a possibly hazardous situation with a
medium
level of
risk that, if not avoided,
could
result in death or
(severe) injury.
Caution
Hazardous situation
Indicates a possibly hazardous situation with a
low level
of
risk that, if not avoided,
could
result in minor or moder-
ate injury.
Notice
Danger of property damage
Indicates a possible risk of damage of the device and its
surroundings.
Symbols in the instructions
The device is only as safe as its user. Carelessness, negli-
gence or an operating error could result in severe injuries or
death.
In this operator's manual, the following symbols are used to
denote special dangers.
Warning.
These symbols denote special dangers.
Prohibition sign.
These symbols denote inadmissible proce-
dures.
Directive sign.
These symbols denote required protective
measures.
