10.6.4. Erase functions
We covered the method for
patterns in the previous chapter; here we will
focus on erasing steps within a pattern.
!: The following procedures are destructive! They show how to erase steps, whole pages of 16 steps,
and an entire track. Please save any patterns you do not want to lose.
Once you're in Step Recording mode (Record button lit red):
• Hold Erase and press a step to initialize the content of that step
• Hold Erase and press a page to initialize the content of that page
• Hold Erase and press a track button to initialize the content of that track
When the Erase Track procedure shown above is followed, the Pitch and Gate tracks are
erased simultaneously. If Velo is selected for Track 3, it is erased too.
However, the length, playing speed, direction, and scale are maintained for the erased track.
This is more of a “Reset all steps” function than an “erase track” function.
10.7. Pages
Each pattern in the MiniBrute 2 can be up to 64 steps in length. These steps are arranged in
groups of 16, and those "step groups" are known as Pages. Steps 1-16 are under the 16 button,
steps 17-32 are under the 32 button, and so on.
