Reinstall impeller shaft through gearcase front and
reinstall thrust collar onto impeller shaft end.
5.
Wrap a seal protector over impeller shaft end and
reinstall shaft through gearcase seal. Remove seal.
NOTICE:
Unprotected seals can be damaged when
installed over rough edges in shaft, such as holes.
6.
Reinstall pin into impeller shaft. Turn shaft so pin is
horizontal.
7.
Reinstall thrust collar over pin and position impeller
shaft as far to gearcase rear as possible.
8.
Reinstall flange bushing onto impeller shaft end. With
a driver, strike bushing until positioned just below
retaining ring groove. See Figure 124.
9.
Reinstall retaining ring. See Figure 125.
