PART IV: BUTTON PREPARATION

Using the wire cutters, cut two 8” lengths of wire, two 7” lengths of wire,
and one 3” length. Next, split the end of each into two halves. Each half
should be about a centimeter (1/2”) long. Then, strip a few millimeters
(1/8”) of insulation from the ends of each wire.
2. Tin the split ends of each wire (by applying a small amount of solder to
each split end); while optional, this will aid with assembly in later steps.
3. Insert the split ends of each 8” wire in the two holes located on the metal
prongs of a button (B1-B4, no polarity); solder the wire to the button.
Repeat for the two 7” wires. Trim the excess wire.
