Software update
The software update is sent by e-mail. Observe the instructions for decompressing and,
where applicable, renaming the files. Save the files in accordance with the instruction on a
USB stick in the directory "IPC16". The following files must then be in this folder:
An USB stick is used for program update. Copy the folder “IPC16“ on an USB stick. The
following files must be in this folder:
IPC16_TOOLS (folder with all tools)
"appfile.txt" (file for update control)
"IPC16.exe" (new software version)
„IPC16_Errors.ini“
„IPC16_Tools.ini“
"IPCupd.exe" (tool executing the update)
„Pos_Samples.exe“
„Replace_EV.exe“
Perform the following steps for updating the software:
1.
Switch on the InnuPure C16.
2.
Wait for the device to initialize (beeping sound) and log in if necessary.
3.
Insert the USB stick into the USB port at the right-hand side of the HID-Pro 320
4.
In the main menu press the [S
ETTINGS
] button.
5.
Press [U
PDATE
].
6.
In the U
PDATE
menu press the [U
PDATE
] button to start the U
PDATE TOOL
.
7.
In the main menu of the U
PDATE TOOL
press the [U
PDATE SOFTWARE
] button.
8.
In the menu S
OFTWARE UPDATE
press the [U
PDATE
] button.
The update is performed automatically. The update can last up to 10 – 20 s,
depending on the update size. It is complete as soon as the message [U
PDATE
SUCCESSFUL
]
appears. Confirm this message.
9.
Press [C
LOSE
] to exit the S
OFTWARE UPDATE
menu.
10. Exit the U
PDATE TOOL
with [E
XIT
]
and wait until the updated software is reloaded (the
start screen can be seen).
The InnuPure C16 is ready for operation again.
Note
The software update is not tied to user rights! It can be executed by any user!
