Do not unplug the power cable or click the power on-off button to shut down the device directly when device
is running (especially when it is recording.)
There are three ways for you to log out.
a.
Main menu (
RECOMMENDED
)
From Main Menu->Shut down, select shut down.
Click the OK button and you can see device shuts down.
b.
From power on-off button on the front panel or remote control
Press the power on-off button on the DVR front panel or remote control for more than 3 seconds to shut
down the device.
c.
From power on-off button on the rear panel.
4.1.3 Auto Resume Feature
The HDCVI has an auto resume feature that allows the system to automatically backup video and resume previous
working status after power failure.
4.2 Startup Wizard
After turning the system on, the default video display shows multiple windows. To bring up the login screen, left
click the mouse or hit enter on the keyboard. The login screen should look like this:
4.2.1 Default Account Usernames and Passwords
To login to the system for the first time, use one of the following default username/password combinations. Once
you’ve successfully logged
in, it is highly recommended to change your password for security reasons.
The system consists of two accounts that come standard with the DVR:

Username
: admin
Password
: admin (administrator, local and remote access)
•
Username
: default
Password
: default (hidden user)
Note:
•
If three failed logins are attempted within a 30-minute time period, the system will set off an alarm. After five
login failures, the account will be locked.
