working.
Spindle is running dry.
Tool is blunt or wrongly clamped.
Lubricate spindle.
Use new tool and check tension.

Chips do not come out of the drill

Select another speed, feed too high.
Retract tool more often during machining.
Sharpen tool or insert new tool.
Use coolant.
Tool tip is running off
centre, the drilled hole is

Hard fibres in the wood or the
length of the cutting spirals/or
angles on the tool are unequal.

Use a new tool.
Tool is not running
smoothly or shaking.
