Setting of the linear machining speed and of the workpiece diameter
Setting of the linear machining speed:
Proceeding:
- Go back to the standard display mode;
- Press the key
the X axis displays S-U, the Z axis (the Y axis for the
2-axis position display) displays the nominal value of the linear machining speed;
- Enter the new nominal value for the linear machining speed (Unit: mm per second);
- Press the key
to confirm your entry.
Setting the initial (maximum) workpiece diameter:
Proceeding:
- Go back to the standard display mode;
- Press the key
the X axis displays S-d, the Z axis (the Y axis for the
2-axis position display) displays the nominal value of the output (maximum) workpiece
diameter;
- Enter the new nominal value of the output (maximum) workpiece diameter (Unit: mm);
- Press the key
to confirm your entry.
Remark: When the value of the current tool position is greater than the value of the output
(maximum) workpiece diameter the main axis maintains the speed value according to the
nominal value for the output (maximum) workpiece diameter.
A description of the constant principle of the linear speed machining:
The above mentioned formula N is the revolution speed of the main axis; V is the nomi-
nal value of the linear machining speed; D is the current value of the workpiece diameter,
the maximum value can be selected as nominal value of the output workpiece diameter;
the X axis displays the current value of the workpiece diameter (or radius).
