General safety notices
Knowledge of the basic safety notices and safety regulations is a fun-
damental requirement for safe handling and fault-free implement op-
eration.
The operating manual
•
must always be kept at the place where the implement is oper-
ated!
•
must always be easily accessible for the user and maintenance
personnel!
2.1
Presentation of safety symbols
Safety notices are indicated by the triangular safety symbol and the
highlighted signal word. The signal word (DANGER, WARNING,
CAUTION) describes the severity of the risk, and has the following
meaning:
DANGER
Indicates a direct hazard with high risk that will result in death or
serious injury (loss of limbs or long-term harm), if not avoided.
Failure to comply with these notices will result in death or seri-
ous injury.
WARNING
Indicates a possible hazard with moderate risk that can result in
death or (serious) injury if not avoided.
Failure to comply with these notices may result in death or seri-
ous injury.
CAUTION
Indicates a hazard with low risk that can result in minor or mod-
erate injury or material damage, if not avoided.
IMPORTANT
Indicates an obligation to behave in a particular manner or indi-
cates an activity required for proper handling of the machine.
Failure to comply with these notices can cause faults on the im-
plement or damage in the vicinity of the implement.
NOTE
Indicates handling tips and particularly useful information.
These notes will help you to use all the functions of your ma-
chine in the best manner possible.
