Precautions on Motor Packing
In this cleaner, a motor packing is attached to the motor. If you remove the rear panel for the purpose of inspecting the motor
or blower, make sure to reinstall the motor packing. Operating the cleaner with the motor packing detached will cause
insufficient cooling, which could lead to a motor failure.
The motor packing, which is a consumable part, should be inspected yearly. The motor packing loses its elasticity and
becomes brittle as it deteriorates. If it does not give an elastic response to your touch, replace it. If the cooling outlet of the rear
panel blows out any particles, the motor packing has deteriorated. In this case, replace it immediately.
1. Removing the Rear Panel
Remove the 6 screws to remove the rear panel.
2. Inspecting the Motor Packing
Inspect the motor packing for deterioration, and replace it if
it has deteriorated.
Caution:
If the motor packing has a cutout, install it by facing the
cutout upward to align with the shape of the flange.
* The cutout has been discontinued from January 2005.
