Conclusion
Stratix III devices have dedicated circuitry to interface with DDR3 SDRAM at speeds
up to 400 MHz (800 Mbps) with comfortable and consistent margins. The advanced
clocking features available in Stratix III devices allow for a high-performance,
versatile interface to DDR3 SDRAM. System designers can enhance their Stratix III
system performance through the use of commercial off-the-shelf SDRAM without
increasing cost. Altera offers a complete, proven memory solution in Stratix III
devices for DDR3 SDRAM, which allows you to use these devices in applications
requiring lower power consumption and greater bandwidth.
