What to Do When a Cartridge Change Error Occurs

When there is a cartridge change error, the following combination of indicator
lights appears and the error messsage dialog box appears on the screen.

1.

First, press the 

power button to shut off the power.

2.

Open the front cover.

3.

If the ink cartridge is on the carriage, press on the middle
of the ink cartridge, as shown in the diagram, to ensure
that it is properly seated.   Also, check to see that the ink
cartridges in the ink cartridge holders are correctly in-
stalled. (See “Installing Ink Cartridges” in Chapter 1.)
