When “Setting the POI Icons Display” is set to “Show”, you can select a
Sub category to be displayed with each POI icon.
Setting item: POI category

Touch [Select].
The Select category screen is displayed.

Touch the desired category.

Touch [All categories] to select from all categories.

Touch the desired sub category.
•
When you touch [All types], all sub categories are
selected.

Touch [OK].
The setting is changed and the system returns to the
previous screen.

Touch [Reset] to cancel the selection.
•
You cannot set the [City centre] display. [City centre] is always
displayed on the map.
You can display icons for the locations stored in the Address book on
the map.
Setting item: Address book icon
Setting contents: Show (Initial setting) / Hide
Show:
The Address book icon is displayed on the map
screen.
Hide:
Clear the Address book icon from the map screen.

The Address book icons can be displayed on the detailed map with 10
km (6 miles) or less of scale.
Guidance Setup
[Guidance] is selected on the Navigation setup menu in step 4. See
“Navigation Setup Operation” (page 99).
You can set whether or not to display the national flag when you have
crossed a border.
Setting item: Border guidance
Setting contents: On (Initial setting) / Off
On:
The system provides Border guidance.
Off:
The system does not provide Border guidance.
You can set to display the estimated arrival time in which way: always
displays the arrival time to the destination, or displays the arrival time to
a waypoint (if existent).
Setting item: Guidance time option
Setting contents:
(Waypoint) (Initial setting) /
(Destination)
When the system calculates a route, it also estimates the time it will take
to the destination. Arrival is displayed in the time of the destination time
zone, or remaining time is displayed.
Setting item: Estimated required time
Setting contents:
(Arrival) (Initial setting) /
(Remaining)
Arrival:
Arrival is displayed in the time of the
destination time zone.
Remaining:
Remaining time is displayed.

The time estimates are based on the average speed of the vehicle. See
“Setting the Average Speed” (page 103). The estimated time will
vary accordingly, as the vehicles speed varies.
You can set to whether or not display a magnified view of an
intersection when the system has image data.
Setting item: Intersection guidance
Setting contents: On (Initial setting)/ Off
On:
The system displays a magnified view to provide
guidance.
Off:
The system does not display a magnified view.
